The state of Iowa and parts of South Dakota were on high alert early Tuesday evening. An AMBER warning was issued for a 15-year-old teenager from Iowa City.

KCRG and KWWL explain that Ophelia Barton was last seen in Nichols around 7 p.m. She was wearing a short-sleeved Disney shirt and red shorts. Ophelia is described as a 5’10” tall, 80 pound teenager with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Like some people in the Sioux Empire, I received an AMBER alert on my phone just after 7 p.m. The alert described Ophelia along with her alleged abductor, Lindsey White. Lindsey is a 5’5″, 165 lb. female with brown hair and gray eyes. She was seen driving a blue 2014 Jeep Compass. Her Iowa license plate is LIU044.
