Pakistani Youtuber shot dead while filming vlog on IND vs PAK match | Pakistani News

24-year-old YouTuber Saad Ahmed was shot dead by a security guard in Pakistan last week while filming a vlog about the India vs Pakistan cricket match at the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Ahmed was recording content for his vlog in Karachi’s busy Serena mobile market on June 4 when he was fatally attacked, Pakistani broadcaster Geo TV reported.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ahmed spoke to shopkeepers about the cricket match ahead of the match. India vs Pakistan match in New YorkThe attack was planned for June 9. He then approached a security guard named Gul Hassan to include him in the video, but the situation escalated abruptly when Hassan opened fire on Ahmed.

Surveillance camera footage, which has since been shared on social media, shows the security guard walking towards Ahmed and then shooting him. Ahmed is hit in the shoulder and falls to the ground as passersby rush to his aid.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured Ahmed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with the help of rescue teams. Despite their efforts, Ahmed was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities arrested the security guard and confiscated his weapon. In his statement to police, Hassan claimed that Ahmed’s gestures during filming provoked him and led to the shooting. Police found that Hassan, who hails from Waziristan, had difficulty with Urdu.

Based on a complaint by the victim’s father, Mukhtiar Ahmed, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed at Taimuria police station. The FIR names the security guard, the security company and the management of the mobile market and accuses them of negligence despite obtaining prior permission for video recording.
