West Seattle Blog… | WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Woman attacked near two schools and a creek

Received this evening from a reader:

I am writing about an incident that occurred on Tuesday, 6/4, around 3:30 p.m. I was walking my dog at the corner of SW Kenyon and 24th Ave SW (across from the new pedestrian walkway over Longfellow Creek). A man attacked me from behind and put me in a chokehold. I was thrown to the ground, held down, and groped. The attacker eventually let go of me and disappeared between a few buildings in the Westhaven Apartments. I reported the incident to the police.

I just want to remind people to be careful in this area – especially because it happened in the middle of the afternoon. A lot of Chief Sealth and Denny’s students walk through this area before and after school.

The person who attacked me was a white male, around his 20s, of medium build and slightly overweight. He was wearing black, grey and white.

No further descriptive details. If you have any information, the SPD incident number is 24-151643.
