An investigation has revealed that three Louisville Metro police officers failed to activate their body cameras when they arrested golfer Scottie Scheffler on May 17 near the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, in violation of police regulations.

Scheffler was arrested for allegedly refusing to stop and dragging a police officer on his way to a golf tournament, according to an internal investigation released by the department on Friday.

According to the documents, Detectives Bryan Gillis, Kelvin Watkins and Officer Javar Downs failed to turn on their body cameras, a violation of police procedure.

Scheffler, 27, was driving to a tournament at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, when he arrived at the scene of a fatal crash around 6 a.m., CNN previously reported.
