Amber Alert issued for 4-year-old from Denton

DENTON, Texas — An AMBER alert was issued for a 4-year-old Denton boy late Thursday night — but it was lifted less than two hours later when the boy was found in Richardson early Friday morning, police said.

Denton police issued an AMBER alert shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday and then announced shortly before 1 a.m. that the missing child had been found.

Police also announced that the child’s mother, 40-year-old Selena Grasty, was in custody.

According to police, Grasty is the non-custodial parent of the child for whom the AMBER alert was issued.

The two were found together in Richardson, police said.
