Atlanta Watershed will conduct testing stopped early Thursday morning

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The Atlanta Watershed Department will conduct a shutdown test to evaluate the water system early Thursday morning.

Crews will conduct the test on a 30-inch water main at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Bakers Ferry Road. There was a water main break Tuesday when a contractor hit the line, according to city officials.

The test will be done from midnight to 4 a.m.

Watershed officials said those on Bolton Road to Fairburn Road and the surrounding area may experience an interruption in water service during the test.
