TBI Investigation Finds: Carroll County Mother and Boyfriend Charged in Baby’s Death – Clarksville Online

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationCarroll County, Tennessee – A Hollow Rock woman and her partner were arrested Monday morning following an investigation by TBI special agents and Carroll County investigators into the death of a 14-month-old child.

At the request of the 24.th Judicial District Attorney Neil Thompson and special agents with the TBI, along with Carroll County Sheriff’s Office officials, investigated a report on June 2 that a young child had been admitted to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The baby, Shiloh Durrance (born March 7, 2023), was taken to a hospital in Nashville but succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.



Today, officials arrested the child’s mother and her partner. Sara Earnestine Durrance (born June 18, 2005) is accused of aggravated child abuse and neglect. Zachary Taylor Gray (born September 13, 2003) is accused of aggravated child abuse and neglect and manslaughter.

Both were taken to the Carroll County Jail. Durrance’s bail is set at $100,000. Gray is being held without bail.
