Breaking down the greatest undrafted Buffalo Bills players of all time

Booker Edgerson became a key member of the Buffalo Bills when he joined the team in 1962, contributing significantly to the formidable defenses of the 1960s. Edgerson played with the Bills until 1969 and played one season with the Broncos from Denver in 1970, before making a career out of it. He helped the Bills win back-to-back AFL championships in 1964 and 1965, reaching the Pro Bowl (when that meant anything) in 1965. He started 87 of 106 games played. He is also a member of the Bills Wall of Fame.

Edgerson’s 23 career interceptions place him seventh in team history, ahead of greats like Jordan Poyer, Jarius Byrd and Henry Jones. He became one of the best corners in Bills history and teamed up with fellow cornerback Butch Byrd in 1964. They formed one of the most dominant corner duos in AFL history. Between Byrd and Edgerson, they have a total of 63 receptions, with Byrd being the Bills’ all-time interception record holder.
