Shooting victim arrives at hospital after incident outside Hermitage Motel

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man is still hospitalized following a shooting late Thursday night in Hermitage.

The Metro Nashville Police Department was notified by medical personnel at Tristar Summit Medical Center after a man was brought in with gunshot wounds around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers were dispatched and learned the man was shot as he was leaving a motel on Stewart’s Ferry Pike with another person in a U-Haul.

According to MNPD, the U-Haul was turning from Bell Road onto Stewarts Ferry Pike when someone from another vehicle opened fire, hitting the man in the passenger seat. The driver continued to Tristar Summit to get help for the injured man.

The victim’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening, police said.
