South Carolina woman seriously injured in car crash in Cooper County

A South Carolina woman was seriously injured in a car accident in Cooper County on May 26.

Lilierth Luna Arenas of North Charleston, South Carolina, was driving a 2015 Hyundai Veloster westbound on 170 near the 87.2 mile marker when the accident occurred.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred around 1 a.m. Sunday when her vehicle veered off the right side of the road and struck a railing, causing the car to roll over.

Arenas was transported by Copper County Emergency Medical Services to University Hospital to receive treatment for her serious injuries.
