SANTEE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) – Two elderly adults were found dead in their home at a senior living facility in Santee Sunday morning. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible homicide.

Deputies responded at 11:25 a.m. to reports of two adults dead in their home at a senior living facility in the 300 block of Lantern Way in Santee


Both victims, a man and a woman, were dead when police arrived and both appeared to have suffered traumatic brain injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities are keeping the victims’ identities secret until they can notify their families.

Sheriff’s homicide investigators are working to gather more information about the circumstances of her death and said there is no danger to the community.
