More women accuse Nigel Lythgoe of sexual harassment in the lawsuit against Paula Abdul

Two more women have accused Nigel Lythgoe of sexual harassment, just days after Paula Abdul filed a lawsuit claiming she was sexually harassed twice by the former “So You Think You Can Dance” judge.

Accusers Jane Doe KG and Jane Doe KN, both of whom were “contestants” on the Lythgoe-produced show “All American Girl,” said they were sexually assaulted, sexually harassed and neglected by Lythgoe following the series finale party in May 2003, according to the civil complaint filed Tuesday and obtained by Deadline.

The women are seeking a lot of damages in response to the lawsuit against Lythgoe, who is identified in the suit only as John Roe NL.

The lawsuit accuses Lythgoe of “openly slapping and groping the plaintiffs and other candidates.”

Additionally, according to the lawsuit, after the aforementioned after-party, he drove the couple to a house in Los Angeles instead of “to the studio where everyone else went.” There, according to the complaint, Lythgoe made “sexual advances.”

Although the women rejected him, they claimed Lythgoe “remained persistent and continued to make advances.” At one point, the complaint states, Lythgoe “pulled his sweater over Plaintiff KG’s head and wrapped her in his sweater, attempted to kiss her and press her body close to his” before she “desperately tried to break free from his grasp.”

Former “Idol” judge Abdul, 61, filed a sexual assault and gender-based violence lawsuit last week, accusing Lythgoe of assault. According to Deadline, Lythgoe was aware of the coercion and that his behavior was “inappropriate and even criminal.”

The first alleged incident occurred in the early days of “Idol,” when, according to Abdul, Lythgoe “pushed her against the wall,” then grabbed her genitals and breasts and began shoving his tongue down her throat,” according to People. Abdul did not want to lose her job and decided against taking action at the time.

Abdul says she was assaulted by Lythgoe in 2015 while she was a judge on “So You Think You Can Dance.” Lythgoe is accused of “pushing herself on Abdul while she was sitting on his couch” during what she thought was a professional meeting. He then “attempted to kiss her while claiming the two would make an excellent ‘power couple.'”

Lythgoe issued a statement over the holiday weekend denying Abdul’s allegations.

Both lawsuits were filed under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, which allows civil suits that would otherwise be barred by the statute of limitations. However, only Abdul’s lawsuit was filed before the law expired on Dec. 31.
