KPRC 2 News Crew Intercepts Houston Tornado Live on TV

HOUSTON – As a line of severe weather headed toward the Houston metro area, the KPRC 2 Storm Tracker kept you updated on live traffic conditions.

While driving on US 290 near Cypress on Thursday, KPRC 2 reporter Gage Goulding and photojournalist Adrian Crooks intercepted what would ultimately be determined to be an EF-1 tornado.

KPRC 2 Chief Meteorologist Frank Billingsley helped viewers understand live weather conditions by analyzing what was happening around the Storm Tracker.

For several minutes, Storm Tracker crews and KRPC studio meteorologists used this real-time information to warn others in the direct path of the tornado.
