Accident Investigation Leads to DUI Charges – Butler Eagle

A Harmony man has been charged with driving under the influence after Butler Township police investigated a motorcycle accident on Whitestown Road earlier this month.

Zachary Boros, 32, has been charged with drunken driving and other offenses including reckless driving, driving without a motorcycle license, and driving without a license in connection with a crash at 5:45 p.m. on May 5 at the intersection of Whitestown Road and Acre Avenue Registering and driving without insurance, according to a news release on Wednesday, May 15.

Police said Boros was making a left turn when he lost control of the Harley-Davidson he was driving. The crash threw Boros and his passenger, Jennifer Smith, 30, of Monaca, onto a hill.

Boros suffered a leg injury and was taken by ambulance to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Smith suffered minor injuries and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.

Butler Ambulance Service, Butler Township Volunteer Fire District and VA Butler Fire and Emergency Services all responded to the crash.
