Teenage girl sexually abused by man on Cooloongup Oval in south Perth

Police are investigating a sickening attack on a girl just a few hundred meters from a busy hospital precinct in Perth’s south.

The 14-year-old was running around an oval on Elanora Dr in Cooloongup just before 11pm on Saturday when she was approached and sexually assaulted by a man.

The girl told a friend before a police report was filed.

The male perpetrator had an olive or brown complexion and was wearing a green sweater and dark shorts.

The attack occurred just a few hundred meters from Rockingham General Hospital.

Child Abuse Squad investigators have sought witnesses to find the person responsible.
