Russia attacked the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv five times on July 24. At least six people were injured in the latest attack, said Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

The latest attack was directed against the city’s industrial zone, Terekhov said, without giving details of the damage caused.

Ukraine’s second-largest city, located about 30 kilometers south of the Russian border, was subjected to heavy Russian attacks throughout the war.

In the early morning of July 24, a Russian missile attack damaged the office of the Swiss (Foundation) for Mine Action, a Switzerland-based NGO focused on mine clearance.

Later that day, another Russian missile attack targeted an infrastructure facility and sparked a fire.

Also on July 24, a Russian missile attack on the town of Lozova killed one person, injured four and damaged an infrastructure facility. The search for two more people who may be trapped under the rubble is ongoing, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said.

Two men, aged 41 and 18, were also reportedly injured in a Russian drone attack on the village of Lisne this morning.

Attacks on population centers in Kharkiv Oblast have intensified after Russian forces launched a new cross-border offensive in the north of the region in May. Although the advance was halted by Ukrainian troops, Russia continues to hold a handful of settlements just across the border.
