Houston Million Dollar Home Sales Drop, But Bayou City’s Most Expensive Homes Still Impress With High Prices

AJust as the Houston Association of Realtors reported that Houston home sales were down, particularly in the $1 million and up market (down 19.4 percent from May), HAR also released the Top 10 most expensive home sales in June. None were under $3.9 million, and all are worth a look.

Let’s take a closer look at the five most expensive homes sold in Houston in June:

At 7,265 square feet and just three bedrooms, you know this condo, 12S, in the prestigious Huntingdon building, has plenty of entertaining space. The original owner took the raw space and brought in interior designer Bill Stubbs and architect Michael Dreef to create this luxurious residence. Highlights include herringbone-patterned waxed black walnut floors from West Virginia, Farrow & Ball paint throughout, and Carrara marble countertops, backsplashes, and flooring.

The property is comprised of three distinct areas: the main house (5,092 square feet), the pool house (697 square feet) and the garage apartment (548 square feet). The renovation of the main house received a Good Brick Award from the Houston Preservation Alliance.
