One dead in stabbing in the south, no suspect in custody

(COLORADO SPRINGS) – The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is searching for a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon, July 12, in south Colorado Springs.

According to CSPD, officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 700 block of Cheyenne Road, just west of I-25 and the Highway 24 exit, shortly after 1:15 p.m. Friday. An adult male was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.


According to CSPD, no suspect was in custody as of Friday evening. CSPD’s Homicide Unit took over the investigation and was gathering information on possible suspects.
