Man arrested for murder of 13-year-old on July 4 in Orlando

He appeared to be holding a bag as he walked. Officers said they were able to arrest the suspect with help from community members who provided tips after seeing the video released Wednesday. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. Friday to provide more details on the arrest.

The man arrested was identified as 28-year-old Jerry Loreeson Dorisme and was charged with first-degree murder, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, Rose Thalie Dieujuste, was found unconscious and with obvious signs of injuries on South Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando.

She was taken to hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office had previously released a video showing a person suspected in connection with Dieujuste’s death.

In the video, the person in question can be seen leaving the parking lot wearing white pants and a pink shirt. He appeared to have a bag in his hand.

Officials said they were able to arrest the suspect with the help of community members who provided tips after viewing the video released Wednesday.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. Friday to provide further details on the arrest.
