Teenager loses both legs in train accident in Rome on Friday



A Georgia teenager lost both legs when he was hit by a train in Rome early Friday morning.

According to the Rome City Police Department, officers were called to the railroad crossing at E. Callahan Street around 3:44 a.m. after receiving a call that someone was unconscious on the tracks.

When the police arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had been hit by a train and had to have both of his legs amputated.
