FIA announces verdict on F1 investigation against Daniel Ricciardo at Silverstone

The FIA ​​​​has announced its verdict regarding an investigation into Daniel Ricciardo at the British Grand Prix.

An investigation was launched against Ricciardo by race control following an incident in the pit lane during the third free practice session at Silverstone.

An early red flag was triggered by Pierre Gasly, who skidded at Vale and landed in the gravel with his Alpine.

Ricciardo pitted during the red flag, but was seen weaving around the pit entrance to warm up his tires.

An investigation was launched against Ricciardo by the race management, which analyzed the incident after practice.

The Australian allegedly violated Article 33.4 of the sporting regulations, which states that “drivers are not permitted to brake unnecessarily, including stopping a car in the overtaking lane of the pit lane.”
