Hong Kong man attacked with knives after stopping a truck to check the car following him

The man was attacked after he noticed his truck being followed by a car while on his way to a bike storage facility.

He stopped and got out to check the vehicle behind him when two people jumped out of the car and attacked him before fleeing the scene of the accident in the car.

The gender of the attackers is unknown.

The man was attacked around 7 p.m. in Hung Lung Hang in the New Territories.

police said the incident was classified as assault and the investigation was ongoing.

The attack was the latest in a series in the last week.

A 67-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after allegedly attacking his wife with a hammer in the stairwell of a housing development in Quarry Bay.

Another 39-year-old man was injured at Tin Ching Estate in Tin Shui Wai, New Territories, on Wednesday, shortly before he was due to appear for a court hearing in an assault case.
