Drunk driver rams building and two vehicles: Milford Police

MILFORD, CT — A man is accused of driving while drunk and crashing into two vehicles and a building, police said.

Police responded to a report of multiple car crashes near Bridgeport Avenue and Naugatuck Avenue at 7:10 p.m. Thursday

Police determined that one of the vehicles had collided with another vehicle, then fled and crashed into another vehicle and a building at 195 Bridgeport Avenue.

An investigation revealed that the driver was drunk, police said.

The driver, a 21-year-old Brookfield man, was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, driving the wrong way and tailgating.

Bail was set at $500. He is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on August 1.
