First Alert Weather: The dog days of summer are here

Waking up to muggy and wet weather on Saturday morning? That’s because of a few showers that passed through early Saturday morning, but nothing is expected for the afternoon. Saturday will continue to be muggy with highs around 27 degrees, but most of the time it will remain dry and skies will be partly cloudy. There is a chance of a light shower on Saturday afternoon, but this is nothing to worry about as it will be short-lived. The summer weather will continue through Saturday evening and night.

For those heading to Innovative Field on Saturday night to watch the Red Wings game and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra perform after the game, the weather will remain nice as clear skies are expected with temperatures around 21 degrees. The same goes for those heading to Canandaigua on Saturday night as that is where the fireworks are taking place. Clear skies are expected with temperatures around 21 degrees. It will be even nicer on Sunday as we expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with highs around 27 degrees.

The weather will continue to feel summery throughout the coming week, with highs around 27 degrees and persistent muggy weather. The next chance of rain will be on Tuesday afternoon, with a few showers and thunderstorms possible. Then on Thursday we will be tracking the remnants of Beryl, which could head towards our region with widespread rain.
