Drugs in commercial quantities found in house in Siler City, two people arrested

The execution of a search warrant on Friday led to the arrest of a man and a woman who are now accused of several drug offenses in Chatham County.

The Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for a home in the 900 block of 12th St., Siler City.

During the search, officers seized 16 grams of oxycodone, about 7 grams of crack cocaine and 49 grams of marijuana.

The two residents of the house, Jimmy Headen, 42, and Marie Headen, 67, were arrested.

Jimmy is charged with several crimes, including:

  • One count of trafficking in opium or heroin
  • Two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule II controlled substances
  • One count of possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver
  • A case of cocaine possession
  • A case of illegal marijuana possession
  • A case of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances

Jimmy is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Marie was accused of the following:

  • A case of cocaine possession
  • One count of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances
  • One count of possession of Schedule II controlled substances with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver
  • A case of minor possession of drug paraphernalia

Jimmy was held on $235,000 secured bail, while Marie was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 15.
