Claudio Marchisio defends himself after Juventus fans attacked him

Claudio Marchisio was recently attacked by some Juventus fans who even created a banner against him.

The former Bianconeri midfielder was a loyal servant of the club and regularly discussed issues surrounding the team.

However, no one can please everyone and some of the club’s fans have recently started a campaign against him.

Most fans were surprised by this and the former midfielder has now responded by admitting that he speaks his mind because although he has a thick skin, not everyone does.

“Things are not changing or are changing slowly, so we must not give up. I will carry on and fight together with others for the battles I believe in. I also think of my children and young people like them: I feel that I have a responsibility.

“The content of the banner does not affect me, but I cannot accept that someone feels entitled to react to an opinion in this way: I have a thick skin, others do not and it is right to protect them.”

Claudio Marchisio was one of our most loyal servants and a great captain of our team when he played for us.

It’s surprising that he was attacked by some fans, but those few certainly don’t represent all of us and he knows we still love him.

He has been open about his support for the club and has raised some of the issues at the Allianz Stadium, and we will continue to appreciate that.
