Suspect in custody after shelter-in-place incident

Police said a suspect was arrested hours after a search began.

LAKEVILLE, Minnesota – Lakeville police said a suspect is in custody following an incident that prompted a curfew in the area around Brackett’s Crossing Country Club Thursday morning.

In a series of social media posts, Lakeville police said the incident began with “a domestic situation in a vehicle from which a male subject fled on foot” and may have been armed. Officers searched the golf course area and cleared all buildings about an hour later. Police said there were no reports of serious injuries.

Police announced on X that the suspect had been arrested. Further details will be released later.
