No officers or deputies were injured in this incident.

According to preliminary information, on June 25, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., task force officers with the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force were searching for a fugitive wanted in another state for murder and weapons possession. Officers located the suspect, identified as Kevin Barton, age 32, of Massachusetts, and attempted to arrest him.
