Police make arrest after shooting in Clarendon

CLAREMONT, NH (WCAX) – A Newport, New Hampshire man is facing charges in connection with a shooting in Claremont Tuesday night.

It happened just before 7 p.m. Claremont police said they found shell casings on Twistback Road after shots were fired. They said officers later spotted a red Subaru Forester on Sullivan Street that had been reported by witnesses. After a brief chase, the driver crashed on Sugar River Drive, according to police.

Police arrested two people, including 20-year-old Kaleb Potter of Newport, New Hampshire, who was charged with reckless handling of a deadly weapon.
