Delgadillo

Yesterday, Marshalltown police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the investigation into the June 1 shooting at the Center Street Station bar.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Ramon Alexis Feliciano Nieves, 41, of Marshalltown, suffering from a gunshot wound. Nieves was transported to a medical facility where he died.

Victor Antonio Delgadillo, 18, of Marshalltown, was identified as the shooter and remains at large. Delgadillo has warrants out for his arrest for first-degree murder and first-degree harassment. The charge remains an accusation and he is presumed innocent until found guilty.

The juvenile involved is being held for accessory after the fact, a felony, and possession with intent to sell marijuana, a class D felony. The teen was placed in a juvenile detention center.

“We will arrest and prosecute anyone who knowingly aids Mr. Delgadillo,” said Police Chief Mike Tupper. “We cannot allow violent crime to overwhelm our community. We plan to make more arrests. We urge Mr. Delgadillo to follow the advice of his legal counsel and turn himself in. The only way to resolve this problem is through a trial.”

Marshalltown Police have received information from the public indicating that Delgadillo is receiving assistance from people and that this assistance has enabled him to evade prosecution.

“We will find Mr. Delgadillo,” Tupper said. “The police department is grateful for the assistance and information they continue to provide to the public. We will not rest until this case is fully solved.”

Marshall County Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Delgadillo’s arrest.

“Marshall County Crime Stoppers is an extremely important partner in public safety,” Tupper said. “We appreciate their generous support in this and many other cases over the past nine years. This murder investigation is our top priority. We will not rest until Mr. Delgadillo is safely taken into custody.”
