Police charge two men in connection with fatal stabbing in District Heights

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) — Police in Prince George’s County arrested two Suitland men in connection with a fatal stabbing in District Heights on June 18.

The Prince George’s Police Department (PGPD) said 54-year-old Franklin Mackall Jr. and 52-year-old Carlson Mackall were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and related charges.

On Tuesday around 6:20 p.m., police were called to the 6100 block of Old Silver Hill Road for a “cutting incident.” When police arrived at the scene, they found 45-year-old Terence Savoy of District Heights lying on the ground with “physical injuries.”

He was taken to the hospital where he died.

During the course of the investigation, investigators revealed that Mackall Jr. and Mackall allegedly attacked Savoy during an argument. The PGPD believes that Savoy and the two suspects knew each other.

Mackall and Mackall Jr. are in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
