Man arrested after police seized several kilos of meth, heroin and fentanyl from a Gaston County home

GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) – A man was arrested Thursday, June 13, after officers found a handful of drugs, including meth and heroin, in a Gaston County home. According to police.

Antonio Arredondo Arias, 35, of Monroe, was jailed on $3,000,000 bail and following accusation:

  • Methamphetamine trafficking
  • Heroin/opiate trafficking
  • Maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of dealing in methamphetamine and heroin
  • Serious possession of marijuana
  • Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana

Police said the drug seizure began during a traffic stop on Little Mountain Road when officers stopped Arias.

During the search, police found “several ounces of heroin and crystal meth” as well as $2,000 in cash.

After further investigation, authorities searched Arias’ home. Seizure of the following:

  • 1.24 pounds of crystal methamphetamine
  • 1.4 pounds of heroin
  • 3.15 pounds of fentanyl
  • 1.2 pounds of marijuana
  • 1.4 grams of MDMA
