Howie Mandel describes the accident in which his wife suffered injuries

Howie Mandel revealed the gruesome injuries to his wife, Terry Mandelsuffered after a night of drinking that resulted in a bloody accident.

The couple had been staying in a hotel room in Las Vegas when Terry fell and ended up lying in a pool of blood.

“We were celebrating. It was too much. She was drunk. I didn’t know that, and in the middle of the night she got up and, I don’t know where she was going, but she ran into the wall,” said the America’s Got Talent Judge told Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos At Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, June 17. “She fell and hit the paneling. She hit it as she went down. She slipped, fell, hit her eye, fell to the floor and broke her cheek.”

“I heard ‘bang!’ and then ‘ah!’ and I woke up and said, ‘Where are you?’ and she said, ‘I don’t know!'” he added.

Howie, 68, found Terry lying in a pool of blood and showed the audience a photo of Terry’s injuries.

“I wake up, turn on the light and look around the bed. She’s lying face down in the corner,” the comedian recalled. “I didn’t know she had cut her head, but there was a pool of blood.” Caught on the TV, blood is pouring out and I’m freaking out. I picked her up. I laid her on the bed. There’s blood everywhere. I grabbed all the towels and all the towels are covered in blood. She’s screaming, ‘Get me ice! Get me ice!'”

Unfortunately, Howie couldn’t find any ice, so he offered his wife cold soda cans from the hotel fridge to smear on her face. Terry ended up throwing the soda cans across the room.

He eventually called the front desk for medical help, and they sent security to assess the situation. “I saw her head, and you could even see her skull,” recalled Howie, who married Terry in 1980. “It opened up. I freaked out.”

“I see people taking pictures of the blood on the floor, the cans and everything,” Howie said. “If anyone was going to get beat up in this room, it would be me. I’m the most annoying person in the world. My wife is a saint.”

Eventually, Terry was taken to the hospital where her injuries were treated. Howie was happy to report that his wife had now fully recovered.

“She is absolutely perfect. She has no scar. She is beautiful,” Howie confirmed.

Despite the setback, Howie and Terry’s marriage has stood the test of time. He jokingly revealed the secret of their 44-year marriage.

“My wife doesn’t speak or understand a word of English, so this works for us,” he said People in September 2023. “I don’t know how to say ‘I’m funny’ in their language, but it works for us.”

“Communication is overrated”, Gremlins joked the actor. “I’ve been married for 43 years and we haven’t exchanged a single word.”
