Jefferson Police Chief Explains Changes to Calls for Service Information | Raccoon Valley Radio – The Radio You Can Count On

Some people may have noticed a change in how Greene County Police release their 911 call log.

Jefferson Police Chief Mark Clouse says the Greene County Police Department and Sheriff’s Office have installed the new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there are only a handful of law enforcement agencies that are not using the system, which has been implemented across the state for years.

Clouse acknowledges that while this new program doesn’t provide as much information as what the police and sheriff’s office had before, it still provides some detail. He points out that CAD has made reporting more time-efficient. Clouse says that if he was left to do it alone, an average weekend report could take him up to 90 minutes to complete, but now with CAD, it only takes a few minutes.
