Riot in Parliament: 33 MPs suspended from Lok Sabha. View full list

As a result of continued protests by MPs over the security breach in Parliament, a total of 33 opposition MPs in the Lok Sabha were suspended for the remainder of the winter session for “misconduct” and failure to follow the Speaker’s instructions.

Of all the parliamentarians who were suspended on Friday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla suspended 33 opposition MPs, including Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. These politicians were suspended for putting up posters in Parliament while protesting against the ruling party over the security breach. The MPs also demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the matter. Here is the list of total thirty MPs who were suspended by the Lok Sabha

Apart from the Lok Sabha MPs, 45 opposition members of the Rajya Sabha were also suspended from their seats in Parliament on Monday. These politicians were suspended due to their improper conduct and disobeying the Chairman’s orders.

Congress MPs Pramod Tiwari, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal Randeep Singh Surjewala and Ram Gopal Yadav of the Samajwadi Party were among the opposition MPs suspended from the Rajya Sabha. Of the total Rajya Sabha MPs suspended on Monday, 34 were suspended for the remainder of the winter session while 11 were directed to stay away from Parliament pending a report of inquiry by the Committee on Privileges into their conduct.
