Shooting in Fort Lauderdale leaves one dead and four injured

One man is dead and four adult men were treated at a local hospital following a shooting Friday night in Fort Lauderdale.

According to South Florida police, Fort Lauderdale police responded to a report of a shooting around 7:10 p.m. Friday.

When they arrived, they found five injured adult males who were taken to Broward Health Medical. One victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, another was in critical condition. The three others were reportedly in stable condition.

Fort Lauderdale police officials said the incident appeared to be a drive-by shooting.

“The investigation is ongoing and this is all the information available at this time,” police told the Daily News.
