Connecticut man killed in car crash in Dover town

A Connecticut man was killed in a traffic accident in the town of Dover on Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling on Route 55 was attempting to merge into traffic on Route 22 when it collided with a semi-trailer truck.

The driver of the pickup truck, 74-year-old Joseph Hogan of Sherman, Connecticut, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the semi-trailer was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
