Today marks the beginning of a four-day stretch of extremely hot and humid weather in the Midstate. Temperatures will be around 95 degrees this afternoon, but heat index readings – or more commonly known as “feels like” temperatures – will be above 100 degrees. That will be the case again on Saturday.

According to the forecast, Sunday and Monday will be the hottest days of the week. Air temperatures will be between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius, and heat indices will be well above 30 degrees Celsius.

If you’re planning to spend Father’s Day outdoors, be sure to take plenty of breaks and drink plenty of fluids indoors in the air-conditioned kitchen, as heat levels on Sunday could reach 115°F in some areas. There’s a slight chance of rain on both days, but the chance of rain is only 20%.
