The Strictly Hip headlines Thursday 2024 and main music series @ Fountain Plaza

Thursday & Main is back and ready to rock downtown Buffalo all summer long. Buffalo Place has announced the lineup for the 2024 season, which will take place at Fountain Plaza from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Buffalo Place created this relatively new outdoor concert series to continue the mission of Thursday at the Square by creating awareness and business impact for downtown restaurants, bars and retailers.

For eight years, Thursday & Main has electrified Fountain Plaza by booking some of the area’s best bands. Interestingly, the original Thursday at the Park concert series began in Fountain Plaza before it became too cumbersome for the space and was moved to Lafayette Square. Today, this free concert series has returned to its original roots, thanks to the efforts of Buffalo Place.

Guests will enjoy a rotating roster of local restaurants on site weekly, including food (for purchase) from Fat Bob’s Smokehouse, Jack Rabbit, and Bijou Grille. 

From Buffalo Place: This Thursday, June 13^th will feature music masters from The hip tragically, The strictly connected with a special guest and an incredible singer, Erin Hoyle. Since 1995, The strictly connected were evangelists, spreading the good word of The Tragically Hip’s music everywhere. Taking an almost academic and studious approach to performing the music of Canada’s most popular band, the group strives to present The hip tragically music with reverence, respect and precision. A summer staple in Western New York, Buffalo Place is excited to welcome these talented musicians to the heart of Downtown Buffalo.
