Annual Chalkfest event returns to Buffalo RiverWorks

This year’s theme is mythical creatures. From there, artists have the opportunity to show off their skills with chalk creations inside and outside the grain silos and under the Buffalo RiverWorks ziplines.

Artists registered from 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the event open to all curious art lovers from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

There is an element of judging to Chalkfest. Artists had to have completed their works by 5 p.m. Saturday, and judging was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Sunday.
