A firefighter was transported by Bensalem EMS to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment, fire officials said. He suffered smoke inhalation while fighting the fire and was later released.

Firefighters responded to a call for a trapped mobile home fire on Gibson Road and found the mobile home at D14 fully engulfed in flames.

The fire had also spread to the neighboring mobile home on property D12.

The fire department extinguished the fire and limited the damage to just two mobile homes. A total of four 1 1/2 water lines were used to extinguish the fire in both mobile homes.

When firefighters entered the mobile home in parking lot D14, they discovered a dead man named Stadler inside.

No further injuries to residents were reported.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Bensalem Fire Department and Police.

Bensalem Township Police, along with the Bensalem Fire Department and volunteers from the Newport, Nottingham and Penndel fire departments responded to the fire.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire started in the living room of the house, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The mobile home on property D14 was a total loss, and D12 suffered significant damage, fire officials said.

The Red Cross was on site and helped the residents who had become homeless due to the fire.
