First Alert weather warning for extreme heat

From this morning until Friday 8 p.m. there is a heat warning in effect for the valley as temperatures will rise below 15 degrees.

Our First Alert Weather Warning remains in effect alongside the Heat Warning as we continue to monitor these dangerously hot conditions.

Highs are expected to reach 110 degrees today, and it will be even hotter tomorrow as a high pressure system hovers over the region.

Take standard heat precautions to protect yourself and your family from heat-related illness and injury during this first major heat wave of the year.

Maximum temperatures will fall slightly by Sunday, but will remain well above normal into next week.
