Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray could be forced into an immediate suspension in the NBA playoffs after an incident that occurred during his team’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Murray overcomes his injury to face the Timberwolves

The 27 year old was classified as questionable For the game at Ball Arena in Denver due to his persistent problems with a leg injury. He was also on the injury report for Game 1 of the series and Game 5 of the first-round series against the LA Lakers.

Why could Murray be suspended by the NBA?

The point guard’s potential absence would be a major blow to the Nuggets, who already have a mountain to climb if they want to reach the conference finals.

Denver lost the first two games of its series against Minnesota (99-106, 80-106) and is on the verge of elimination from this year’s playoffs with its third consecutive loss.
