A “significant quantity” of drugs was seized during an investigation at the Super 8 Hotel in Cromwell

CROMWELL, CT (WFSB) – A significant amount of drugs was seized during an investigation at a Cromwell motel, police said.

Cromwell police said they executed a search and seizure warrant at the Super 8 hotel on Industrial Park Road on Friday.

Five people were arrested, including 42-year-old Frank Zaler, 39-year-old Kelly Christoni, 38-year-old Gregory Carlson, 36-year-old Carolyn Chambers and 34-year-old Patricia Porter.

Zaler was charged with operating a drug factory, tampering with a search warrant, use of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.

Christoni was charged with operating a drug factory, failure to comply with a search warrant, use of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance.

Carlson was charged with tampering with a search warrant, use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Chambers was charged with obstruction of a search warrant, use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Police charged Porter with tampering with a search warrant, use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators did not disclose which drugs were seized.
