Police investigate fatal pedestrian accident in Waldorf

WALDORF, Maryland. – On May 26, 2024, at approximately 9:25 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Berry Road in the area of ​​McDaniel Road.

According to a 911 caller, an elderly man was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a car. Emergency responders who arrived at the scene found the male pedestrian dead in the street.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was uninjured and remained at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian is being kept confidential until next of kin can be notified.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
