The man ran out of the theater and left in a vehicle after the attack, police said. A vehicle matching the description was reportedly involved in a similar attack in Plymouth, police said.

WMUR’s sister station WCVB reported that Massachusetts State Police received 911 calls about a stabbing at the McDonald’s in the Plymouth Park and Ride just after 7 p.m. A 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were found with apparent stab wounds and were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Braintree police said the vehicle was being pursued by Massachusetts State Police and crashed in Sandwich. The driver was arrested and police said it appears the two crimes are related.
