CHP is investigating a fatal accident that killed a motorcyclist and is seeking assistance

(FOX40.COM) — The Auburn Division of the California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver responsible for a May 14 hit-and-run accident that left a motorcyclist dead.

According to the CHP, at approximately 6:24 p.m., a collision between a red Cadillac and a red Harley-Davidson motorcycle occurred on Douglas Boulevard at the intersection of Kingsgate Drive in Granite Bay, resulting in one motorcyclist being fatally injured. According to police, numerous passers-by stopped to offer help to those involved, but were unable to witness the collision.

The CHP office in Auburn said it is looking for anyone who may have seen the crash and who may have video or home surveillance footage from the time of the incident. CHP encourages anyone with information to contact Auburn CHP at (916) 663-3344 or 1-800-Tell CHP.
