Fremont police are searching for a man accused of sexually abusing three children

FREMONT, Neb. (KOLN) – Fremont police are searching for a man accused of sexually abusing three children in Dodge County.

Police are trying to locate 39-year-old Hugo Campos, who has an active arrest warrant for five counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child and four counts of third-degree sexual assault of a child.

According to the affidavit, Campos is accused of assaulting two girls between the ages of 12 and 16 and a boy under the age of 14 in recent years.

The female victims reported finding cameras in several rooms of their home and said Campos exhibited erratic and strange behavior, the affidavit said.

In multiple interviews, a female victim reported that she was sexually abused by Campos at least five times from 2017 to 2020, the affidavit said. The victim said she remembered being in 3rd grade when the sexual assaults began and ending in the summer of 7th grade.

The second female victim reported Campos sexually assaulted her multiple times between 2017 and 2019. According to the victim, the sexual assaults began in the second semester of 6th grade and continued into 7th grade.

On February 15, 2022, investigators interviewed the male victim. The victim reported Campos sexually assaulted him in his bed in 2021. According to the affidavit, the victim was in first grade at the time.

After the allegations, an interview with Campos was initially planned. However, police said he did not show up.
