An East Hartford officer is involved in the shooting and is under investigation

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — On Sunday afternoon, an officer-involved shooting in East Hartford sent the officers involved to the hospital for evaluation.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at 224 Governor Street where they were responding to a disturbance. The exact details that led to the shooting are still unclear.

Officials say there is no threat to public safety at this time. The East Hartford Police Department, along with the Connecticut Inspector General’s Office, the Hartford Judicial District Office and the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Unit, are investigating the incident.
