Steve Buscemi is the latest victim of a random attack in New York

Steve Buscemi is the latest star to be randomly attacked in New York.
The Reservoir Dogs actor was wandering the East Side of Manhattan last Wednesday (5/8/24) when he was “attacked” and returned with a swollen face.
The 66-year-old star’s rep confirmed that Buscemi was subsequently treated in hospital and is doing “fine.”
They told The Hollywood Reporter: “Steve Buscemi was attacked in midtown Manhattan, another victim of random violence in the city.
“He’s doing well and appreciates everyone’s well wishes, although he’s incredibly sad for everyone that this happened while he was walking the streets of New York at the same time.”
The incident comes just two months after Buscemi’s “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg, 55, was attacked in Central Park in March by a homeless man who threw a rock at him.
27-year-old Xavier Israel was arrested after sustaining a neck injury.
That same month, Bethenny Frankel was punched in the face in a separate incident.
The 53-year-old reality star noticed a video posted on social media by fashion design student Mikayla Toninato about her experience being assaulted in the Big Apple and revealed from the comments that the same thing had happened to her.
She wrote on TikTok: “This is crazy because this happened to me a few months ago but I was embarrassed to say I was at the UWS (Upper West Side). Craziness. I made a video of a bakery. (sic)”
